There are many reasons for the weak considers himself defeated. He hasn’t disposition to go to fight, hasn’t courage to face the war and he cannot win because he is defenseless.
What I think interesting in journey we have toward faith is that we face many times weaknesses moments, even we knowing ever we’ll win in Jesus’ Name. Seems even contradictory but the fact is that Jesus he himself told us we would face troubles. Weaknesses are in these troubles.
Now the question is: How we will win if we are weak? Actually the victory that overcomes the world (all the troubles) is our faith, it itself. How? Once time Paul told: in the weakness I’m strong. The strength of God works on our weakness. His power is made perfect in weakness.
Fantastic, we are weak but God wants act like that, act in our weakness. How His power will work on us if we do not allow it? If we think we are strong, we will not need the Lord, but if we recognize we are weak, He will come to us.
Therefore, the God’s strength overcomes our weakness. Now we cannot deny it: God overcomes in us.
